Social media and Content Creator
Location: Hackney Wick, London
Job Type: Part-Time
Hours: 6 -10 hours per week, may be increased if needed.
Salary: £12.21, with potential for increase based on performance and contribution to the studio’s growth.
Role Summary
We’re looking for a creative and self-driven Social media & Content Creator to produce and manage engaging visual content for our ceramics studio.
You’ll be responsible for creating, editing and organising photo and video content, developing monthly social media plans, and maintaining a consistent visual identity across Instagram and Xiaohongshu (Red Note).
This role combines hands-on content creation with strategic planning, ideal for someone with strong visual storytelling skills and a good understanding of social media growth.
Key Responsibilities
1.Content Creation & Editing
Capture, edit, and produce short-form videos and photos for Reels, Stories, and Xiaohongshu posts.
Edit class clips, artist features, and studio moments into engaging content that fits our brand style.
Design simple visual materials (flyers, posters, or social templates) when needed.
Maintain a consistent tone, colour palette, and visual language across all outputs.
2. Content Planning & Social Media Management
Develop monthly posting plans with clear content themes, publishing dates, and campaign focuses.
Schedule and post content across Instagram and Xiaohongshu.
Write captions and translate when needed (English/Chinese).
Monitor performance analytics, track growth, and adjust strategies based on insights.
Research trends and bring fresh, creative ideas for new formats and campaigns.
3. Visual Archive & File Management
Organise and maintain a structured archive of all studio photos, videos, and design materials.
Label and store content systematically for future use in marketing and press materials.
About You
1–3 years of experience in content creation, video editing, and social media marketing.
English and Chinese writing fluency required.
Proficiency in video editing tools CapCut / Premiere / Lightroom / Canva or similar tools.
Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Illustrator, or similar).
Familiarity with SEO tools or keyword research.
Solid understanding of Instagram and Xiaohongshu algorithms, trends, and audience behaviour.
Good communication skills and the ability to present ideas clearly.
Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and deliver on schedule.
Strong visual sense, attention to detail, and creative storytelling ability.
Comfortable working in a creative studio environment and capturing real-time content.
Flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods (e.g., events, workshops).
Eager to be part of our team and grow with us.
Nice to Have
Basic knowledge of email marketing or newsletter design.
Good ability in photography.
Experience with data analysis or social media insights to inform content decisions.
Familiarity with ceramics, craft studios, or creative production.
