Who can use the studio
Drop-in sessions are designed for makers who can work independently, understand the firing process and follow shared-studio cleaning and safety procedures. If this is your first time working independently at Trace, please contact us to arrange an induction before booking.
Studio access & booking
Access is limited to the date and time of the booked session. Weekend drop-in access is on Sundays only, subject to the live booking schedule; Saturday is not available. The full-day pass is advertised as 11am–6pm; confirm availability before purchasing.
Studio time is subject to capacity, occasional closures and any advance booking arrangements shown in the member booking system. Please allow enough time to clean your workspace before your session ends.
Materials, glazes & firing
Clay, bisque firing, glaze firing and special materials are not automatically included unless expressly stated on the selected product. The studio will explain current charges before work is submitted.
Clay is purchased separately. Speciality materials, glazes outside your plan’s included range and firing beyond the allowance are charged separately at the studio’s current published rates. Please check costs with our team before submitting work. Ceramic outcomes naturally vary; our team takes reasonable care of work during handling and firing, but cracking, warping and glaze variation can occur.
3 Hours Drop in:Includes up to 400g of bisque firing, based on dry clay weight.
One Day Pass: Includes up to 800g of bisque firing, based on dry clay weight.
Payments, renewal & cancellation
Drop-in access is a one-off booking rather than an automatically renewing membership. If you need to change your session, you are welcome to request a different date or time at least 48 hours before your booked session begins, subject to availability. We are unable to reschedule sessions when a request is made less than 48 hours before the booked start time. Drop-in bookings are non-refundable once paid, except where required by law. Prepaid session packs follow the validity period displayed when purchased.
Pauses, transfers & unused time
You may request a change to your booked date or time at least 48 hours before the session begins, subject to availability. Changes cannot be made with less than 48 hours’ notice. If something unexpected comes up, please feel welcome to contact us with any questions about your booking.
Drop-in bookings are for the named participant. Please contact us in advance if someone else wishes to attend.
Unused studio hours do not automatically roll over into future periods unless expressly stated in your purchased plan. Changes to booked Drop-in dates and times follow the 48-hour notice policy above.
Shared studio care & safety
Please leave your wheel, table, tools and surrounding area clean and ready for the next maker. Follow the technician’s instructions for equipment, clay disposal, glaze handling and fire safety. Treat fellow makers and staff with care and consideration. We may take proportionate action if serious or repeated safety issues arise, subject to your legal rights.
Drop-in is intended for independent practice, not a taught class. The team can help with orientation and day-to-day questions, but instruction is not included.
Work, storage & collection
Drop-in bookings do not include permanent personal shelf storage; ask our team about short-term work storage and collection arrangements.
Please label any work left for drying or firing. Collection timing will be communicated by our team; Drop-in sessions do not include permanent shelf storage. Please contact us if you need help arranging collection.
Agreement & getting in touch
Your applicable plan, renewal and cancellation terms should be clearly presented before payment. Please keep a copy of your booking or subscription confirmation.
