In this private session, we offer personalized one-on-one guidance from our skilled and experienced ceramic artist instructor. You’ll have the opportunity to share your ideas with the instructor, who will help you bring them to life for a memorable experience.

At Trace Ceramics Studio, our private classes can focus on wheel throwing, handbuilding, or a mix of both – simply select your preferred option when booking. If you’re a beginner, you’ll get hands-on experience with the basics of pottery, like creating a coffee cup or a bowl.

Perfect for: couples, those seeking a quiet space to explore pottery, anyone interested in personalized guidance, or those eager to learn specific techniques.

Cost: From £115 for one person (2 hours). Add a second participant for just £40, with a maximum of two people per class.

Your finished pieces will be ready for collection about 4 weeks after the course ends, but sometimes it may take a little longer. We’ll email you when your work is ready. Please collect your pieces within 4 weeks of receiving the email, as we unfortunately can’t store them for longer. If you are not collected within that time, we’ll give them to charity shops due to limited shelf space.

What’s Included:

All clay, aprons and tools are provided during the class. At the end, you’ll choose a glaze from our glaze board, and we’ll glaze your pieces for you. While we encourage creativity, we ask that you only fire the pieces you truly love to support sustainability. The studio will fire 1-2 pieces per student, with each piece no larger than 12 cm in diameter and 18 cm in height. Larger pieces can be fired for an additional cost.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  •  If you give 14 days notice we can either reschedule, or cancel(£5 booking fee deduction), or be given a gift code to use later.

  • For 10-13 days notice before the course, a 50% refund will be issued for cancellation, and a £5 booking fee deduction or reschedule.

  • Unfortunately, cancellations made within 10 days of the course start date are non-refundable and non-rescheduled.

  • Gift Cards are non-refundable
